Ameesha Patel On Salman Khan

In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Ameesha Patel opens up about the tour she had with Salman Khan. She says, “So one of this first world tours I did was with Salman, Sanju, Bobby, Sunny and Bipasha, this is one of them on stage with both of us and Salman has this habit of never rehearsing so sometimes what happens is he’s singing my lines, I’m singing his lines and it’s a complete riot on stage so every show is different. I think this was New Jersey or New York I can’t remember but, he’s a rock star.”

Ameesha On Aamir Khan

When asked about Aamir Khan, Ameesha said, “So this is, Aamir has actually cast me for Mangal Pandey and he was convinced I could do the film, when he called me I was shooting in Chennai with Mahesh Babu for my Telugu film with him and Aamir said, ‘I want you in Mangal Pandey’ and I went home to his house he narrated me subject and he said, ‘I need a girl who is comfortable, who will look beautiful without makeup, this is a de-glamourized role and you’d be a Vidha, so you have to be comfortable with that Bengali character with the white saree.’ And like I told you I like challenges and I said yes. And this was couple of years after that at the Bombay Times party and we clicked this picture.”

Ameesha Patel On Shah Rukh Khan

When asked about Shah Rukh Khan, she said, “Ohh, a small little cute part in Om Shanti Om with my dream lover SRK, and I hope this picture is just not a picture, someday becomes a full-fledged film, so yeah this was the moment from Om Shanti Om a very cute moment and I was lucky enough to be a part of that. Back drop looks like Switzerland but it was a studio in Bombay.”

About Her Films

Ameesha Patel has had the opportunity to work with all three Bollywood superstars. Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan—at different points in her career. She starred opposite Salman Khan in Yeh Hai Jalwa (2002), a comedy-drama directed by David Dhawan. Where she played his love interest. With Aamir Khan, she had a special appearance in Thugs of Hindostan (2018), a period action film featuring an ensemble cast. Her association with Shah Rukh Khan came in Om Shanti Om (2007), where she made a cameo appearance in the star-studded song “Deewangi Deewangi.” While she hasn’t been the lead heroine in a full-fledged film with Aamir or Shah Rukh, her collaborations with all three Khans have been notable and cherished by fans.
